14 Months

So Christmas...New Years...and now Valentine's Day have past. It has been that long since I have been one here. Go figure!!! Well it is high time I put some updated pictures on here. Things have been great. Same old same old as far as Mike and I go and as for Adrianna she is growing like a weed. Her 15 month appointment is not until March 2 but I would have to say she has got to be around 35 pounds. Needless to say I feel like my back is falling apart from the inside out :) Talking up a storm..it seems like every day she is saying something new. And her little voice cracks me up. I have been unable to put clips from the video camera on here because I guess I need some sort of DV cable...I have no idea. Chris where are you when I need you??? You are much more computer savvy then I. But I did manage to get some clips from the video on our digital camera. I am excited about that. For you out of towners you will finally get to see her in action!! There are a couple of pictures on there of the new addition in our house. His name is Max and Adrianna adores him. She steels the towels and runs around the house while Max chases her till he grabs ahold and then the tug of war begins. She thinks it is the funniest thing. Well I hope everyone is doing well. Chris, Sarah & Conner we can't wait to see you in March!!!
Love you all :)

A Year Has Past!!!

Can you believe a year has gone by already. It seems like just yesterday I held her in my arms for the first time. I now know why everyone's advice was to cherish every moment. I have finally, finally found some time to get on here and update the blog. I know it has been almost three months since the last blog but a lot has happened. School is flying by for me and I am proud to say that I just completed Level One with a 98%..let's just hope I can keep that up for the next 7 levels to come :) Mike's work as always keeps the conversations extremely interesting. Like last night for instance.."Hi hunny just calling to say good night". "Oh ok, I am at the hospital with a guy right now who got hit by a car, shot, and left for dead in the ditch". "Nice...Love you". "Love you too". Need I say more. Makes for a great night sleep :) He loves it though..
Then there is Adrianna..who tears through our house like a bull in a china shop. There is nothing delicate about our daughter. She is into absolutely everything. Sometimes instead of getting upset you just have to laugh. She had a great personality. Is ALWAYS ALWAYS happy!!! Until she is hungry..some things just never change. Her vocabulary in the last week or so has tripled. She no longer calls Mike and I "mama" and "dada". We have been upgraded to mommy and daddy. She says what's that & this, Don't, Buh-Bye, Bobby, Please, TaTa "thank you", juice, trys to say milk, Kylie, sit, shoes, yes, no, ca-ca, and the list goes on. She truly is remarkable for only being 12 months. Adrianna's 1st Birthday was great. All of her toys she loves..especially the dancing bear toy that Dennis got her and her chair and desk toy. She dances constantly with the bear..and thinks it is the coolest thing to be sitting in a chair.
Last but not least...my Dad. The last couple months have been emotionally, physically, and mentally tough for our entire family. He is doing great..and his spirit remains positive. We spend as much time as possible with him. Some weeks are easier then others. He continues to surprise us with the things he is able to do and the things he remembers. It is going to be a long journey..but as I tell everyone else. I'd rather have a journey to travel then none at all.
Here is a little video I put together of Adrianna's first trip to Hunsader Farms, halloween, and her birthday. I am hoping to get some video footage on here of her eating her cake by the end of the week.
Hope all is well and everyone has a great Christmas!!!

Halloween Costume

I've been sitting here for the last ohh I don't know 3 hours studying for my A & P test I have coming up..unfortunately the only time I have to study is after Adrianna goes to bed. So that calls for some late nights for me. I can't wait for this test to be over. Anyways I decided to take a break and post a blog. My friend Lindsey's step father owns a photography studio so we took the girls down to the studio, dressed them in their halloween costumes and took their pictures. They turned out really good. For Adrianna's first Halloween she is dressed up as a Winter Fairy!! I figured I would compose a little slide show of the proofs. I am still looking for little gold ballerina type shoes to go with the dress so if anyone knows of where to get a pair let me know. Hope all is well. Enjoy!!

The Last Few Months

The other day it was brought to my attention that I hadn't posted a blog in well lets see over a month :) So I figured it was about time to sit down and update everyone. The last couple of months have been kind of chaotic. Mike is still over at Manatee Sheriff's Department and he absolutely loves it. The topic of discussion at the dinner table every night is what kind of calls he got for the day. All I can say about that is WOW!! As for me I am finishing up my Anatomy and Physiology class and I start the nursing program October 13th. I am very excited but a little nervous. I haven't been in school for a while and I am going to have to figure out how to juggle being a wife, mommy and student all at the same time. We are preparing as much as we can to make it a little easier of a transition for Adiranna. Mike has been trying to do the bedtime routine a couple nights a week so that she gets used to Daddy putting her to sleep. It's been rough but slowly getting better. I think I am going to have a harder time getting used to it then she is :( Let's see little Adrianna....well she isn't so little anymore. We just went to the Doctors for her 9 month checkup and she is weighing in at 26lbs. 15oz. and is 30 1/2 in. She is the size of an average 18 month old. I would have to say she is definitely taking after Mike. She has changed so much in these last couple months. It seems like she is growing out of that baby phase and into the toddler phase. She is crawling everywhere, pulls herself up onto everything, feeds herself..and yes she still loves to eat :) says dada, mama, baba, nana, papa, and will occasionally stand up by herself if she is not paying attention but as soon as she realizes what she is doing she nose dives. It is amazing how fast they change and develop little personalities. We call her the brute of the family. Adrianna is a in your face kind of girl. She is happy and very loud. I put together a little video of pictures from the last couple of months. Hope everyone is doing well!!

Adrianna's Play Room & Photo Shoot

We finally set up Adrianna’s play room. The last thing to leave the room was the bed and we sold it. So now she has a whole room set up just for her. Mike complains, “What she gets another room”. I on the other hand love it. I finally have my living room back and a place for her to be entertained while I am doing school work. He will get his own room someday just not today. Even though he won’t admit it I know he is glad to have her toys out of the living room. Adrianna absolutely loves it. It’s like she doesn’t know where to go first. The only thing we have to work on is her not climbing up on the computer chair to get me. She hasn’t figured out that Mommy can’t play with her all the time. Mima is back in town and we are so excited. Adrianna was a little hesitant at first, but that lasted about 5 seconds. Now she laughs and growls every time she looks at her. It is pretty funny. To all you Cavallo’s out there. Here is a picture of Adrianna that I sometimes look at and oh I don’t know see Mike. It is hysterical how much she looks like him. I know you all will appreciate it. One afternoon Mike was watching Adrianna and decided he wanted to do a photo shoot with her and this is what I found on our camera. I laughed so hard. Click on the link. Hope you all enjoy!!!!

Boating Trip

We took Adrianna on her first boat ride. She surprised us all!!! I thought for sure it was going to be quite a day but she proved me wrong. Friends of ours Lindsey and Ryan took us out on there boat. We started down in Nokomis and ended at the Old Salty Dog on Longboat Key. Adrianna slept the whole way there which had to of been a good hour or so due to us only going what felt like 5 miles an hour. :) She slept on the bow of the boat under a make shift tent to keep her out of the sun. When she woke up we were just arriving at the Old Salty Dog. We had a nice lunch..fed the girls..gassed up and headed back for Nokomis. On the way back we saw a huge loggerhead and a bunch of dolphins. Before heading home we had to make one more stop..Snake Island. Adrianna had her first experience with the ocean there and she loved it. She was looking around like where am I and then just started slapping the water and laughing. It was too cute. Here are some pictures hope you all enjoy!!!!

First 4th of July

Another first holiday down. This 4th we spent with our friends Lidnsey & Ryan and their daughter Olivia. We hung out by the pool and Mike and Ryan grilled. It was a lot of fun. Then we had Tommy and Kira's Wedding to go to. It was a blast..We were able to see the fireworks from the reception hall. They were amazing. By the end of the night Adrianna had enough. Needless to say the car ride home was not fun :)
Also I wanted to share with everyone the beautiful video that my brother-in-law Chris put together. It was absolutely wonderful. I have watched it a million time and everytime I cry. She is getting so big!!! I can't believe how time flys!!! Hope you all enjoy. Here is the link.
